Annie’s Lane shiraz is most commonly a medium-bodied, medium-quality red wine. This release breaks the mould. It’s big and jammy, muscular and tough through the finish. Super ripe, super sweet, grunty fruit flavour, from the first attack to the last trails of flavour. The rating below is almost immaterial - if you like gutsy, sweet-fruited red wines there’s a lot here for the asking price. Raspberries, licorice, chocolate and mint. If you don’t, this wine won’t win you over to the style. Sweet, tannic and uncompromising. Rated : 88 Points Alcohol : 14.5% Price : Closure : Screwcap Drink : 2009 - 2012
