With subtly integrated American Oak balanced with ripe plums and blackberries, this wine has excellent structure and length. Secondary aromas of chocolate and spice add intrigue and complexity to the wine with soft tannins creating a supple and smooth wine with impressive length.

McPherson's Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Minimum order 1 dozen. This wine is a dense inky-purple colour with an enticing nose displaying aromas of ripe blackberries and cassis with a slight hint of capsicum. The palate is elegantly structured with fruit intensity, integrated spicy oak and above all, finesse.

McPherson's Sauvignon Blanc

Minimum order 1 dozen. This delightful unoaked wine displays intense aromas of passionfruit, gooseberries and fresh pineapple with only a slight hint of herbaceous characters such as capsicum and tomato bush leaves. These characters follow through onto the palate and the fresh, crisp acid provides a lingering, refreshing finish. An enjoyable Summer wine that is best served chilled.

Deep black crimson red colour with deep crimson brick red hue. On the nose tobacco notes are to the fore followed by some spice, blackcurrant and cedar background notes. Petaluma Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2008

I was a great fan of the 2004 and this 2005 is equally as good. It's a great combination of elegance and power. It tastes dark and olive-like, its blackcurrant-y heart peppered with spicy, smoky oak. All that said, this wine is more about structure and texture than flavour: it flows beautifully through the mouth before straightening up and reaching out through the finish. It's a cracker.
